Trago set to expand into South Wales
Trago Mills has served the community from its three bases in Devon and Cornwall for some forty four years, offering some three million customers per annum the greatest range of discount goods anywhere in the UK.
After years of planning, Trago has recently completed a ground stabilisation project at its 120 acre site on the outskirts of Merthyr Tydfil and close to the home of the Welsh Assembly.
The former brick works and mining deposition site has been totally transformed following a mammoth 18 month project costing £12 million.
Trago has planning consent to construct a 150,000 square foot Regional Superstore with associated warehousing and unloading facilities together with customer parking for 2,200 cars. Furthermore, there is permission for a family Leisure Park, Petrol Station and Restaurant.
Trago will appoint a main contractor imminently and construction work will commence in the Spring of 2008. It is envisaged that with an 18 month build cycle the Store will open in the Autumn of 2009.
